Health
Over the past few decades, the health of Filipinos
has generally improved. This is borne out by indicators
such as infant mortality rates, adult morbidity
rates and life expectancy at birth. But any observer
can see that much remains to be done to address
the health needs of many Filipinos, particularly
the poor, who have to make do without even the
most basic of health services and necessities.
Diseases continue to ravage urban slums and the
rural poor, with medicines and hospital care still
too expensive for most.
The realization of the vision for Guiguinto’s development is becoming a reality through the municipality’s comprehensive, efficient and effective health care delivery system. For the past years, the local government has made health care as one of its top priorities with the aim of improving the quality of life of the people. Efficient and high quality health services are made available to indigent residents, not only on the preventive aspect but on the curative aspect as well..
Preventive
Health Care
Preventive
health care programs were successfully implemented
by the Two (2) Rural Health Units
in the municipality. Environmental Health Sanitation
was, likewise, intensified by conducting
periodic or on-the-spot inspection.
