While ample natural resources are important
to economic growth, it is ultimately
the people
who can make or unmake a country—their
skills, their industry, their resourcefulness,
their values. All these are shaped by education—by
the degree and quality of instruction that
a generation of citizens receives from their
predecessors. Especially in today’s
world, where knowledge itself has become
a form of
capital, the value of education is social
and economic transformation cannot be underestimated.
The Local Government of Guiguinto always
believes that education is the most valuable
asset it
could give to the youth. For this reason
meaningful steps are continuously being
done to make sure
that the municipality makes a distinction
in the area of education and sees to
it that every
resident of Guiguinto is educated and their
abilities and skills, fully developed
for the improvement
of the quality of life not only for the
youth but for the entire municipality
as well.
The Public Pre -School Division or the
Day Care Center in each barangay continued
to give
pre-school
education to children 3-51/2 years old.
For School Year 2005-2006, a total of 749
school
children
were admitted.
